Respect Is Just a Minimum provides direct project-based instruction that introduces participants to key concepts related to conflict resolution, empathic decision-making, health & wellness, and financial literacy.  It gives participants framework for discussing the concepts and supports participants in collaboratively developing innovative projects and models for operationalizing the concepts in their day-to-day living.  The mission of the program is to prepare participants to choose alternatives to criminal activity by building their knowledge of what constitutes poor decision-making and behavior at personal and interpersonal levels, and in direct relation to their academics, social interactions, and financial context.  The program provides participants practical know-how skills for troubleshooting situations that increase risks of engaging in activity that can adversely affect their personal, academic, social, and financial well-being and increase their chances of entering/remaining/ in/returning to the juvenile justice system.
